On my way in to work this morning, the left lane on the interstate was blocked off by state troopers and a crane. There was an RV on its roof in the grassy median, and the crane was trying to lift it. We got somewhere around five inches of snow yesterday. This means the road I take east is no longer pavement. It is packed snow. I wonder if they're skimping on the salt this year because last year so many places were running low.

Naperville, Illinois is #3 on Money's list of the top ten places to live in the United States. I didn't see anything about the atrocious driving skills of most residents. They are pulling the plows off the roads because they're losing control.

I have a 37.6 mile commute on interstate and country roads.

If the plows can't make it, would it be really stupid for me to leave now?
